Pitt has reportedly shown some interest in playing the role of Moriarty, Holmes’ arch nemesis.  While he has been in talks with the film’s producers, and reported to be very interested, no deal has yet been struck. Even though the release date of Sherlock Holmes isn’t until December 25, the buzz on the classic detective film starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, has been quite impressive. So impressive in fact, that Warner Bros. has already started development on a sequel, according to the Hollywood Reporter. You could say that expectations are very high over at Warner Bros.  Can you say franchise?
