Los Angeles (AP). The lawsuit between guitarist Joe Satriani and Coldplay over Coldplay’s hit “Viva la Vida” has apparently reached an agreement.
Coldplay was sued back in September by Satriani. Claiming the band had copied “substantial, original portions” of his 2004 song, “If I Could Fly”. A federal judge has dismissed the case at the request of both side’s attorneys. Other than each side paying for their own legal costs, no other details of the agreement were given.
