Best known as J.R. Ewing on the hit 1980’s TV series, Dallas, actor Larry Hagman has died from complications from his recent battle with cancer in a Dallas hospital on Friday, November 23rd.

Despite his recent medical problems Hagman happily returned to playing his iconic character, J.R. when TNT rebooted the show with a new hot young cast led by Josh Henderson and Jesse Metcalfe earlier this year. Hagman filmed the entire first season of the show and part of the second.

It was reported that co-stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy were at his bedside when he passed away.

Hagman will always be remembered as the notorious, tough as nails Texas Oil Man who always had a scheme within a plot all tied together with deception and lies. But friends and family of the beloved star will always remember him as a kind, caring man who made life long friendships while portraying a character so radically different from himself.
