Last week’s E3 was a mixed bag, as it usually is–lots of new, useless technologies, announcements that won’t pan out, and occasionally, a few great reveals. Django Unchained, Quentin Tarantino’s newest project, easily falls into that last category. Accruing a million and a half views on YouTube in a week, it’s pretty safe to say that the internet is sufficiently excited about the next over-the-top violence bonanza that is a Tarantino film.
Starring Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz, Django (pronounced Jango–as the trailer teaches, the ‘D’ is silent) tells the story of a slave-turned-bounty-hunter (Foxx) searching for his wife with the help of his mentor (Waltz). As usual with the famed director, it looks to be absolutely preposterous and awesome. It’s set to come out Christmas day.
Needless to say, if the world ends on December 21st like the Mayan calendar predicts, I’m going to be *pissed*.
