“Get Your Ass to Mars!” were the commanding words that Hauser screamed at a confused Doug Quaid back in 1990 in a videotaped message that Quaid uncovered proving that the two were one and the same… The original Total Recall has become an oft quoted film that has led to more new Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonations than an alien girl has boobs!
In 2012 the destination may have changed for the highly anticipated remake of this now classic sci-fi action thriller (that’s right folks, no trips to Mars this time) but the sentiment is the same; Doug Quaid must fight against incredible odds to uncover the truth behind his actual identity and the fate of the entire planet may also hang in the balance.
Colin Farrell jumps into the dual role and prepares for the inevitable comparisons to the Governators “interpretation” of this character and this story. But from what I saw today at the Sony Pictures Press Conference here at San Diego Comic Con, worries are the furthest thing from the actors mind.
