Follow Up to Spider-Man Casting News

Sources at the studio continue to deny that Logan Lerman has been cast as the new Spider-Man.

In a statement to ComingSoon.net a representative said, “You can say you have spoken to the studio and they said this rumor is completely untrue. No one has been offered the job and they are not in negotiations with any actor.”

Our source, which is very close to the production team but still wants to remain annoymous, told us that Logan was a done deal and will be Spidey.

We certainly understand the desire to hold back the official announcement until a later time and respect that decision. So we will say that while the studio claims that no one has been cast in this role, our source has claimed that it is Logan Lerman.

If the movie goes into production with someone else in the lead role then obviously our source was mistaken. If, however, Mr. Lerman steps into those red and blue tights we’ll be very happy to have been the ‘you heard it here first’ website that brought you the news.

In either case we trust and stand by our source and are certainly hoping the ‘official’ announcement will be made soon so we can either rejoice or eat a lot of crow!
