Harvey Weinstein has his hands full. On KCRW’s “The Treatment” yesterday, the Executive Producer mentioned his newest acquisition, the French film the Intouchables, having to babysit Michel Gondry through Mood Indigo, which is rumored to have gone three weeks over in production, and is buckling-up for two of the most anticipated releases coming out later this year. We’ve already shared a few details with you about Quentin Tarantino’s time at Hall-H at this Year’s Comic-Con where he shared even more footage for his upcoming Spaghetti Western, Django Unchained. However, details of The Master, the latest project by Paul Thomas Anderson have been less than forthcoming.
Way back in 2010, The Playlist got their hands on a rumored draft of the script. Two teaser trailer were released earlier this year. As always, the subject matter is timely and the cast promises something terrific. So far, we know a few things. PT Anderson veteran, Philip Seymour Hoffman plays is opposite Joaquin Phoenix. His character is rumored to be a personable alcoholic and zeitgeist, drawing comparisons to L. Ron Hubbard and his legacy in “the church”. Amy Adams is also featured in a new trailer but her role has yet to be determined. A curious poster with a half-submerged wine bottle in water. The tease continues.
