One of the hardest things about running a small entertainment website like TheCinemaSource is that time is never on your side. No matter how hard we try we’re never able to fully utilize all of the amazing material we are able to gather in a timely manner. So we have hours and hours of fantastic interview footage that goes completely unused.

Even in the case of one my all time favorite series ever, Star Trek, things can slip passed us. This happened last year when we covered Comic Con in San Diego. We had so much great material that we ran out of time and editing resources so this previously unused, unedited awesome interview with the great William Shatner, Scott Bakula and Avery Brooks has been sitting in our computer collecting virtual dust for almost a full year.

There was no way I was going to let that stand so thanks to a tiny amount of spare time and one of the best editors around, Matt Martin, we have finally fully produced and edited this piece and I hope that people will still take the time to watch it because for Star Trek fans it’s pure Ever Green Gold.

The Documentary is called The Captains and it’s available now on DVD and on EPIX and it’s really wonderful. So if you’re a fan of Star Trek in any way you really should check it out!

Also, be sure to watch the video all the way to the end; there’s something slightly funny at the end that absolutely made my day!
