The time has come"¦ to get all hot and heavy over Robert Pattinson's albino chest and bloodshot eyes yet again. The third film in the Twilight series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, has apparently begun filming for a June 2010 release. There should really be no issue with this film though, because they have David Slade directing. Slade who has directed 30 Days of Night, Hard Candy, and numerous music videos, pissed off Twilighters in May with comments on Twitter, “‘Twilight’ drunk? No, not even drunk.’Twilight’ on acid? No, not even on acid? ‘Twilight’ at gunpoint? Just shoot me." Later Slade retracted these comments saying, “Of course, I have since seen the movie and read the books and was quickly consumed with the rich storytelling and the beautifully honest characters that Stephenie Meyer created.” Finally, somebody who might be able to turn Twilight into more than just a cringe-fest for teenage guys looking to get laid. With the plethora of new Vampire projects appearing on a day to day basis, there'll be more than enough blood sucking to go around, and even with the entire Twilight series ready to conclude itself in the next year (should they keep their ridiculously cramped timetable) I bet there'll be some worthwhile info emerging in the near future.
