Well friends, it’s official. Tom Cruise has signed on to another go round as everyone’s favorite big budget secret agent, James… oh wait, Ethan Hunt. Mission Impossible 4 is officially a go. The film, written by two former Alias writers and produced by J.J. Abrams, is looking for a 2011 Memorial Day weekend launch. Abrams will not direct the sequel himself, probably due to continued work on Star Trek 2 for summer 2012, but he will be a large part of the creative team nonetheless. It’ll be interesting to see who from the MI3 cast returns for the sequel as Abrams added Simon Pegg and Michelle Monaghan to the mix last time out. What do you guys think? Are you ready for more couch jumping escapades, or has Cruise settled down sufficiently to warrant a return to action movie stardom?
