With an impressive list of film credits that goes on for miles and with being the father of one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, there are very few people who’ve never heard of Jon Voight. From dramas likeMidnight Cowboy to comedies the likes of Zoolander, Voight has proved his versatility as an actor who can work in serious dramatic films as well as lighter movies intended for younger audiences. With a slew of work under his belt, this Hollywood heavy hitter doesn’t seem to be going anywhere any time soon. This summer he stars in Transformers, one of the most highly anticipated film of the year, alongsideJohn Turturro, Shia LaBeouf, and Anthony Anderson.

I’m pleased with it,” says the star, “but the real story is with Shia and Megan. Of course for us it wasn’t the same thing as Shia. He had a lot of interaction with Optimus Prime, with Bumblebee…” Wow, so Mr. Voight does know his Transformers.

He also loved working with his Holes co-star once again. “John and I really have a great affection for Shia and we were like his uncles on this film, or at least we felt we were connected to Shia in a special way,” he confesses. “When I accepted Holes I was hoping that they would find somebody to do that role, and when Shia showed up on the set I was delighted. He’s obviously bright, witty, and has a certain kind of searching quality about him that makes you step ...
