IFC Films 3-Pack - DVD Contest

IFC Films 3-Pack - DVD Contest

Slavery! The White House! The chick from The Princess Bride! If all three were in the same movie it would probably be the greatest accomplishment in cinematic history.

Unfortunately, they aren’t.

Luckily, there’s an alternative.

All you have to do is enter our IFC Films 3-Pack DVD Contest and you can be the proud owner of three of the most celebrated and controversial films of 2006.

First up is Manderlay, the second installment in Lars Von Trier’s “America” trilogy. Set in the South during the 1930s, it tells the tale of an isolated community in which slavery is still a way of life. Shot in the same style as its predecessor, Dogville, Manderlay showcases some of the most brutal and honest performances seen in any film last year.

Continuing the examination of Civil War aftermath, C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America is a faux British documentary that takes a satirical look at what would have happened if the South had emerged the victor of the Civil War.

Breaking from the Civil War to focus on a much more recent human atrocity is Sorry, Haters starring Robin Wright Penn and Grey’s Anatomy’s Sandra Oh. The film is an incendiary tale about an unwitting cab driver and a mysterious woman with firm opinions and perverse ideas about retribution.

They may not be lighthearted summer frolics but what else would you expect from IFC Films? Released under today’s premier distributor of riveting, topical filmmaking, each film will provide a thought-provoking night round the DVD player with free-flowing conversation to follow the film.

How can you get your hands on these DVDs? First, address an e-mail to Zak Santucci at ZakSantucci@TheCinemaSource.com including your name and shipping address. Second, include a true-life experience when you unfairly assumed something about someone based on ethnic profiling that turned out to be wrong.

If you're humble enough to admit to being wrong about something, can provide an uplifting story about the triumph of the human spirit and can afford the few extra bucks for shipping and handling, this fascinating collection of DVDs can be all yours!
