Dalmatians, which can be watched either in its entirety or in seven separate parts. It contains interviews with many film historians and Disney and Pixar’s present-day animators and contains plenty of details into the film’s making and ultimate impact in animation.

The next featurette is “Cruella DeVil: Born To Be Bad”, which focuses exclusively on the movie’s memorable villain and is a delight for fans of the character into her creation. “Sincerely Yours, Walt Disney” is a fascinating featurette that tells of Walt Disney’s many letter correspondences with the movie’s original book author Dodie Smith in the road of getting the book adapted into an animated movie.

“Trailers, Radio, & TV Spots” section contains an abundance of promotion for the film in all its various releases. Rounding out the section are seven different sections of art galleries, covering concept art, character design, layouts and backgrounds, storyboard art, live-action reference, production photos, and animation sketches.

The next section in For The Humans is “Music & More”. It contains an exciting array of deleted songs and alternate versions of songs used in the final film, which is a sheer delight for fans of the film.

Rounding out the special features is the “For The Dogs: Games & Activities” section, which contains many fun, interactive features for younger viewers. They include Virtual Dalmatians, which allows you to take care of your own digital Dalmatian, which is sampled on the DVD and done to full effect on DVD-ROM.

Another interactive game is “Puppy Profiler”, which is a fun game which asks you what kind of breed of dog you are most like. Rounding out the special features are two “Fun With Language Games”, which the youngest of viewers will most certainly enjoy.

All in all, this new “Platinum Edition” of 101 Dalmatians will certainly delight fans with plenty of special features. It’ll all serve as a testament to Disney’s days as masters of the animated form with gorgeous animation and a story that is refreshingly simple, yet thoughtfully executed almost flawlessly. You’ll wish Disney still made animated movies this magnificently and effortlessly.
