and Annie Camden, the parents are both a Reverend and a stay-at-home mom, respectively, raising their children. Matt Camden, has picked up a habit of smoking and can’t even hold a job. Mary Camden, is boy-crazy and is a phenomenal basketball player. Lucy Camden desperately wants to become a woman and hopes to get her period soon. Simon Camden terribly wants a dog and is probably the wittiest of all the kids. Finally, Ruthie Camden is an adorable five-year-old who is always by her brother, Simon’s side. This episode addresses the issue of leukemia and how it can devastate a person emotionally and psychologically.

Episode Two: Family Secrets:
In every family, there are secrets that are never told. In the Camden family, honesty is always the best policy. As Matt gets involved with a pregnant teenager, Mary is keeping her new boyfriend a secret from her parents. Also, Lucy develops a crush on a fellow classmate.

Episode Three: In the Blink Of An Eye:
Life is precious and a loved one can disappear in a blink of an eye. Annie’s mother was recently diagnosed with leukemia and wants to spend her last few days with the rest of the Camden family. Matt and Mary both have dating problems and Lucy has her first real date with her crush, Jimmy Moon.

Episode Four: No Funerals And A Wedding:
Following the death of Annie’s mother, as the Camden family tries to pull themselves together, Matt helps deliver a baby, Mary breaks up with her first boyfriend, and Eric tries to counsel a young couple whose marital problems only seem to escalate at the funeral reception.

Episode Five: The Color Of God:
What color is God? Does He even have one? This is where racism is involved after a hate group burn down Reverend Morgan Hamilton’s church. With no place to go, the Hamilton family stays at the Camden which promises disputes as well as contentment from both sides.

Episode Six: Halloween:
Lucy tries to understand the man behind the pseudonym “Mike the Mutant” while Simon enters a pumpkin-carving contest. We also learn why Eric has hated Halloween since he was young boy.

Episode Seven: Saturday:
This is one episode that many will be able to relate to. Lucy is supposed to be supervising her younger brother and sister, but loses them instead when they wonder off following a mailman. Mary is embarrassed to have her family come to her basketball game, and asks them to not show up at all. Drug is also introduced to the show as Eric tries to help a family friend with a drug habit.

Episode Eight: What Will People Say? :
Gossips have always been such an entertaining debate, but they can do more harm than good. In fact, people start spreading rumors that Eric is having an extramarital affair with after he’s seen escorting a woman into a hotel. Simon learns to ...
