While the former is fairly informative, its lack of screenwriter Shane Salermo due to the writer’s strike does hurt this feature. The latter is also informative, but focuses more on the technical aspects of the film’s special effects.

Another feature is an additional footage marker, which clearly indicates what scenes in the unrated cut are in fact new. Another feature is five fairly informative, but standard behind-the-scenes featurettes that cover the making of the film, the designing of the creatures and the special effects, and conceiving the Predator home world. Rounding out the special features is still galleries of the creature designs and production stills.

All in all, while it’s marginally better than the absolutely disastrous Alien Vs. Predator, Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem has very little else going for it. Its same degree of pedestrian filmmaking ineptitude combined with a completely mindless and non-existent human plot signals a franchise completely beaten to death.
