One Tree Hill: The Complete Fourth Season

Back stabbing bitchy cheerleaders, born again virgins, psychopathic stalking half brothers, leg breaking loan sharks, sociopathic pill popping parents and oh yeah, high school basketball just about sums up another awesome season of the CW Teen Drama, One Tree Hill; and let’s face it, what more could you possibly ask for?
Despite my better judgment I have loved this show from the very beginning. Initially it was all about waiting for Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan (James Lafferty) to come up with reasons to take their shirts off and fight each other, nowadays the boys aren’t fighting as much but they are definitely showing more than enough skin to keep the core audience happy. And by core I do of course mean teenage girls and gay men. It’s really the best fan base you can hope for when you think about it; we’re very easily entertained and devote in fanaticism.
For those of you who might not be familiar with our little gang up on the Hill with a lone Tree, it began as the story of two half brothers Lucas and Nathan Scott son of the devil incarnate, local businessman turned corrupt Mayor, Dan Scott (Paul Johansson) and Karen Roe (Moira Kelly) and Deb Scott (Barbara Alyn Woods) respectively. After countless brawls and endless melodrama later, the two finally realized their ‘dad’ was the real bad guy and the once arrogant asshole-ish Nathan began to mellow out and eventually turned into a really good guy. I personally found him way more entertaining before he was neutered by Haley James (Bethany Joy Galeotti), Lucas’s best friend and Nathan’s future wife, but to each his own. Then we have the girls of Tree Hill; Peyton Sawyer (Hilarie Burton) the artistic yet troubled and consistently abandoned cheerleader and Brooke Davis (Sophia Bush) the slutty but proud of it best friend and student council president. The love triangle between Peyton, Brooke and Lucas is the stuff of legends in this little North Carolina town, but I’m happy to say season four does see a final resolution to that as Brooke gives up Lucas and finds plenty of fun with hot guest stars Rey Valentin as Nick Chavez her sexy English teacher and Stephen Colletti as the initially ‘chased,’ Chase Adams, the tasty forbidden fruit of the Clean Teen crew. And when all else fails, Brooke always has Mouth (Lee Norris) the Tree Hill Ravens radio announcer and resident ‘good guy,’ and enemy turned ally Rachel (Danneel Harris) her Maxim posing, hot mess, soon-to-be expelled new roommate.
Got all that? Well, there’s more so seriously just go get the first three seasons on DVD cuddle up with them and then come back here for the rest.
For those of you who are ready to go, let’s jump into season four with my all time favorite One Tree Hill storyline ever. Without question the most exciting storyline this year was poor ...
