this I suppose can be likened to a father questioning his son’s sexual orientation and becoming elated that he can now run out and buy him fifteen baseball gloves (thanks Disney), but I guess I’ll just leave it alone.

This was a damn fun movie! I liked it quite a lot. Then again I am simply a sucker for almost any high school based teen comedy. Guilty pleasures...what are you gonna do, right? This film did indeed get me laughing and dare I say all wrapped up? The word "cute" almost covers it, and "entertaining" explains the rest. I liked that our hero wasn’t studly or buffed. I was happy to see the little guy get the glory while hanging onto his real friends; the sidekicks, even if the cool super heroes didn’t approve. A hero with integrity at the age of thirteen...now that is so much better than the thirteen-year-olds we saw in the movie Thirteen. Yep.

The script was so puffy. The wording was loose and flowing. It felt natural but light-hearted. The dialogue was perfect for a young adolescent film. This so definatly a "family film." If you need to find a movie that you can throw on and watch with your pre-teen or new-teen, without nervously watching for flash nudity, then I would say that Sky High is an excellent choice. This is the X-Men for pre-teens...which I suppose would make it the "X-Boys" for 2005.

Movie Grade: A-
This is a ready-made stocking stuffer for the holidays... or main gift if your broke or don’t really hang out much with this person. It’s fun, and it’s a cheap mood altering agent... which will go quite nicely with egg nog and some shiny red tights!

DVD Features Grade: A
This DVD has the whole menu. You’re given super bloopers, an alternate opening, a behind the scenes look at the stunts, cast and crew, plus the music video for "I Melt With You," by Bowling For Soup.

Overall Grade: A
Fun for the whole family. If you liked X-Men and Pretty In Pink (trust me I know what I’m talking about here), then you’ll love Sky High
