you know, there are a few twists and turns in Revolutions. Despite one’s expectations, this film delivers its own share of surprises that will surely stir your emotions.

Neo is faced with the incredulous task of having to go to the source of his power in the Machine World to face the ultimate machine, Deus Ex Machina, and yet, he still has to do battle with the power hungry Agent Smith and his oh, let’s say a few million Smith Agent look-a-likes! Sounds impossible right??? Only in the Matrix it ain’t! However, while Neo does battle in one world, the crew aboard the hovercraft devises a ploy to travel back to their helpless city and be able to bring several thousand Sentinels with them to be utterly destroyed. The city of Zion’s military personnel (which features some awesome looking Armored Personal Units that dwarf the exoskeleton unit that Sigourney Weaver’s character, Ripley, wore in Aliens) and the non-military personnel are basically left to fend for themselves against the dominating presence of several hundred thousand Sentinels. Just imagine your home being stampeded by a few thousand roaches and you had to exterminate them by your lonesome. Not a pretty sight, right?

Revolutions features exceptional performances by many to further ensnare us into the world of the Matrix. Moreover, I was thoroughly impressed with the naturally, progressive development of the characters in Revolutions. Neo, Morpheus, Trinity, and the former Agent Smith are obviously the main ingredients that are again superbly played by the initial cast. But, I can’t forget about the Oracle (played masterfully by Mary Alice), Seraph (the Oracle’s bodyguard), Niobe, Commander Lock, Mifune (commander of the APU Corps), Sati (this little young lady almost stole the show!), Rama-Kandra (Sati’s father and a program in the Matrix), the Merovingian (the evil program whose “purpose is to know things”), and the Trainman (one of the Merovingian’s wicked henchmen) who all, I believe contributed brilliantly in the finale. Kudos goes to the additional supporting cast of Link, his wife, Zee, the Kid, and Charra (military fighter).

The Wachowski Brothers’ approach to this film was obviously, very well contrived. They somehow possess the ability to hit you from so many sides and in so many ways and yet, you are still left with a good feeling inside. Amazing! Revolutions offers plenty of ironies, philosophies, principles, and concepts to both consider and appreciate that culminate in this one. I strongly suggest that you pay close attention to what occurs on the screen and save your questions for later. This film is sure to address many of your concerns as well as quench some previous doubts from Reloaded, and yet, it will leave you with a few more thoughts and ideas to evaluate… I guarantee it! People are sure to raise numerous discussions about Revolutions long after this film has left the theaters. I have thus left you with a choice; see this movie (as soon as possible I may add!) and be amazed or miss out ...
