can get. And of course as usual Hugh Jackman makes for a badass Wolverine.
My only real problem with the movie, comic knowledge aside, was the final fight. Before the fight began it was clearly day, but in a scene change, which represented a matter of minutes it becomes nightfall. Storm (Halle Berry), did say she was going to bring cover and mist, but that was after it was already dark out. I think this was probably just a slip up during editing, rearranging scenes, but I noticed it.
Well there you have it guys the movie was good, but it just wasn't what I expected. If you enjoyed the first two movies because you felt they were interesting and not because you're a comic fan you'll enjoy this one too. For you comic fans out there who feel betrayed every time a movie changes a comic fact I suggest you stay away from this film… they even made Juggernaut (Vinnie Jones) a mutant.
Movie Grade: B
Synopsis:
The X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier (Stewart), have to contend with evolution itself in the form of their resurrected ex-teammate. Reborn as the Dark Phoenix, Jean Grey (Janssen) is not only a danger to herself, she's a threat to her mutant comrades and the human race. And when a potential cure is discovered -- one that could stop genetic mutations -- the lines for a conclusive battle are drawn between the X-Men, Magneto's Brotherhood, and humankind. |
