Carla Gugino has joined the cast of Righteous Kill, the movie that finally teams Robert De Niro and Al Pacino on screen together.
Gugino will play the female lead of the film, a crime scene investigator with a dark personal life who enters into a relationship with De Niro's character. The story, by Inside Man's Russell Gewirtz, follows De Niro and Pacino's characters, two cops, hunting for a serial killer.
Gugino's career finally seems to be heating up after a few failed TV shows and supporting roles in Robert Rodriguez movies. She was the female lead in Night at the Museum, she was a recurring character on Entourage, and she's also nabbed roles in the upcoming American Gangster and Watchmen.
Kill will start shooting within the next couple of weeks, with Jon Avnet directing.
