Aside from hyping the new Star Trek, J.J. Abrams spoke very briefly about the untitled 1-18-08 project that he's producing (the one with the Statue of Liberty head in the trailer that ran before Transformers). He said that the goal upon of the film was that he just really wanted to make a great monster movie, and a really dark one "not like King Kong - King Kong's adorable."
He also unveiled the teaser poster, which featured the Statue of Liberty -- this time the body without the head. The poster was leaked online a few days ago, only that one had the title "Monstrous" on it. But this Comic-Con poster was still without a title, and Abrams denied that it was "Monstrous": "You really think we'd call it Monstrous?"
He didn't, however, reveal the real title and said we'd find out more in the coming months. Click on the thumbnail above for a larger shot of the poster. |
