It's long been the stuff of Hollywood legend that Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, two gods of the film world since exploding onto the screen in the Seventies, have practically never teamed up.
"Practically" because despite co-starring in two films together - the second Godfather and Heat - they've only ever shared one scene together (in the latter film).
Well that's about to change. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two stars will team up to play New York City cops hunting a serial killer in a flick called Righteous Kill. It will be directed by Jon Avnet and was written by Russell Gewirtz (Inside Man).
"It's one of the hardest deals we've ever done to put these two actors together," said producer Avi Lerner. |
