Kevin Bacon has signed on to play Richard Nixon's chief of staff Jack Brennan in the upcoming adaptation of the hit stage play Frost/Nixon. It tells the behind-the-scenes story of the series of interviews between David Frost and Richard Nixon in 1977.
Ron Howard will direct. Reprising their stage roles are Frank Langella as Nixon and Michael Sheen as Frost. Sam Rockwell, Toby Jones, and Matthew Macfayden have also signed on in various roles.
The play was written by Peter Morgan, who previously wrote the screenplay for The Queen, which Sheen also starred in. |
