Watchmen continues its under-the-radar, for-the-fans marketing as last week it released another "video journal," this one narrated by the lead costume designer. If that sounds boring, there are actually plenty of goodies in the video - we see many scenes getting filmed, get better ideas of what the cast will look like, and even see some in action, including Matthew Goode as Adrian Veidt and Carla Gugino as the Silk Spectre (pictured). Considering Watchmen is widely considered to be the best graphic novel ever written, it looks like they're handling this with extremely good care. Based on the excitement for the film I witnessed at last summer's Comic-Con, I got the book and read it - and while this might be considered deal-breaking blasphemy, I didn't really like the ending. Still, the level of detail the rest of the story had was nothing short of amazing, and I was thoroughly engrossed. I can certainly understand why it holds the level of reverence it does, and I'm fascinated to find what the movie will do with it.
