The MTV Video Music Awards were held last night, and by all accounts it was almost completely lacking in any humor, energy, or talent. Britney Spears's opening number was embarrassing; Sarah Silverman tanked in front of a spaced-out audience. The one bright spot was Shia LaBeouf, on hand to present the Best Female Artist of the Year award. But before he did that, he figured he'd do us all a solid and reveal the full title of the upcoming new Indiana Jones movie. And it is...
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL
Now, I hate to include an asterisk to this story, but LaBeouf has been known to just make crap up. He stalwartly denied ever being approached about being cast in the flick up until right before shooting started. It does, however, sound like the real deal here, especially since AICN got their hands on an apparently official logo:
So there you have it. I personally liked Indiana Jones and the City of Gods and ...Lost City of Gold better, one of six possible titles revealed earlier, but this one certainly sounds like some fun. You can see LaBeouf's announcement for yourself here.
