Sawyer again. But personally, Carlton "likes the Jack/Kate relationship."

-Faraday's fate: "Things are looking up for Faraday and down for the five people [with him on the boat] who have never spoken a word on the show."

-As has become custom, in the first scene of Season 5, you will not be immediately sure where or when you are.

-They kept hinting they'd have another major device in Season 5 separate from the flashbacks and flashforwards.

-Faraday's notebook will figure prominently into Season 5 and might contain events that haven't happened yet.

-"Alpert is quite old."

-The panel ended with a video of the guy who hosts all the Dharma Initiative orientation videos, who has called himself both Marvin Candle and Edgar Halliwax. He's sitting in his living room. The video's fuzzy, so here's what I thought I heard: "My name is not Marvin Candle, it's Peter Chang. I'm a Theoretical Phsyics professor at Ann Arbor." He's speaking from thirty years ago but knows the future: he'll be killed in a Purge and he's talking to people who have a president named George W. Bush and all use something called the internet. "The Dharma Initiative has to be reconstituted," he says. "Time is not just off the essence, it is the essence. Complete the research and find a way to change the past and save us."

And that was that! See you after the Terminator Salvation brouhaha.
