Now here's something that sounds pretty solid: Variety is reporting that Clive Owen will star in an adaptation of Raymond Chandler's Trouble is My Business, which will sport a screenplay by Frank Miller.
Miller and Owen previously teamed up for Sin City. The new project was chosen because the tonal similarities to that made it sound like a good fit: "it provides the actor with a similar chance to frame the narrative with a compelling voiceover, using Chandler's hardboiled prose," reports Variety. The story follows Chandler's iconic private eye Philip Marlowe (Owen) as he investigates a young and potentially gold-digging wife.
At the moment, Owen and Miller are both tied up in other projects so I imagine it will stay in the "in development" stage for a while. |
