Rachel Weisz is the first actor to sign onto The Lovely Bones, Peter Jackson's newest project.
Based on the uber-bestseller, Bones tells the story of a young girl, brutally murdered, who in Heaven watches over her family and her killer. Weisz will play the girl's mother.
Dreamworks won the bidding war for ownership of the movie. It carries a 65 million dollar budget, plus producing and directing fees.
The lead role has yet to be cast. |
