Which films are being rushed to start before the impending strike?

Everyone seems to talk about the "impending strike" of the Writers Guild, Directors Guild, and Screen Actors Guild without actually explaining why any of them are striking. So far be it for me to explain it either; it's a lot of complicated demands and union stuff. Suffice to say that if demands aren't met by Spring, nobody in Hollywood will be working.

The upshot of that is that studios are rushing to get projects filming or in the can by the time the strike starts. A list, which has been circulating around Hollywood talent agencies, has surfaced over at Filmjerk.com that contains 300 movies that their studios have deemed pre-strike priorities.

Of course, many of the movies will fall apart, but it provides a good idea of what we can look forward to as far as movie choices go if the strike does happen. The danger is that since all of these projects are being fast-tracked, many of them are probably bad choices, and those that are good will be rushed.

Movies on the list include Bedtime Stories for Disney with Adam Sandler; an adaptation of Atlas Shrugged; Youth in Revolt with Michael Cera; Dinner for Schmucks with Sacha Baron Cohen; the two X-Men spinoffs Magneto and Wolverine; The Love Guru with Mike Myers; and plenty of other notable titles. (Those hyperlinks will take you to our news articles detailing the projects.)

You can check out the full list here.
