This morning was 300 director Zack Snyder's panel on his upcoming film Watchmen, an adaptation of the classic comic book that's in pre-production right now. While much of the cast so far has been leaked (we've done a few stories on it, including this one), Snyder laid any doubts to rest and announced the main cast, some of whom we didn't know about until now.
If you didn't know (and originally, I didn't either) Watchmen is an award-winning, mature story about a group of superheroes, which is why some of the character names may sound a bit odd:
Billy Crudup (Almost Famous) is Jon Osterman/Dr. Manhattan
Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Grey's Anatomy) is Edward Blake/The Comedian
Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children) is Walter Kovacs/Rorschach
Malin Ackerman (Entourage) is Laurie Juspeczyk/Silk Spectre
Matthew Goode (Match Point) is Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias
Patrick Wilson (Little Children) is Daniel Dreiberg/Nite Owl
Stephen McHattie (300) is Hollis Mason/Nite Owl
