When we covered the Los Angeles return of the Grand Slam: Star Trek & Sci-Fi Summit presented by Creation Entertainment this past February, I don’t think we realized the wonderful doors that would be opening for us as a result.

That weekend was a fantastic success for us as we sat down and chatted with some of our favorite Trek actors like Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, Gates McFadden, Rene Auberjonois, Armin Shimerman, Robert Picardo, Connor Trinneer, Dominic Keating, Aron Eisenberg, Chase Masterson and even some non-Trek folks like Sam Witwer star of the Syfy Series, Being Human, and the star of NBC’s Grimm, David Giuntoli.

Everyone at Creation was so incredibly wonderful to work with that when we heard about the upcoming Trek explosion happening in Las Vegas, we had no choice but to get on board!

The Official Star Trek 2013 Vegas Convention will be taking place from August 8th – August 11th.

So, next Thursday I’ll be leading a small TCS team down to The Rio Suites Hotel for 4 Trek-filled days packed with celebrity interviews, themed events and a new segment called, Trekspert; where I’ll give people the chance to stump me on Star Trek Trivia. (yeah, good luck on that folks!)

We’ll be on hand at the Convention in Sin City for the entire 4 day weekend and will be interviewing tons of your favorite celebrities, the event organizers and of course chatting with as many die hard fans as we possibly can!

Over 100 Celebrity Guests have been confirmed and we’re going to be doing our damnedest to chat with ALL of them!

The convention was produced by Creation Entertainment and it brought together cast members from the various Star Trek series as well as other shows like Grimm, Being Human and Teen Wolf.

Grimm star David Giuntoli gives us his impression of the convention scene, Sam Witwer talks about what’s coming up in the new season of Being Human and Robert Picardo of Star Trek: Voyager fame answers the big question on every Trekkies’ mind, “Will the actors from The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager or Enterprise ever reprise their roles on screen again???”

One of the genre’s great traditions continues as Creation Entertainment proudly presents the return of THE GRAND SLAM SHOW: THE STAR TREK & SCI-FI SUMMIT.

For close to two decades Grand Slam was “the” convention of the year for fans of Star Trek and all new and vintage sci-fi and genre TV and films.

So now, in a time when the field is huge in both, Creation decided to bring this massive event back to L.A. thanks to the urging of fans, followers and past attendees.

The Los Angeles area needed a big Star Trek and Sci-Fi media show and now it’s here!

The new added element to this proud long standing tradition this year is going to be us! We here at TCS will be on hand at the Convention all weekend long interviewing tons of your favorite celebrities, the event organizers and of course chatting with as many die hard fans as we possibly can!

As always, this event boasts an impressive roster of guests including the entire cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden as well as Rene Auberjonois, Aron Eisenberg, Chase Masterson, Jeffrey Combs and Armin Shimerman from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Robert Picardo from Star Trek: Voyager and Connor Trinneer and Dominic Keating from Star Trek: Enterprise.

But this event isn’t JUST for Star Trek fans, we also have Tyler Posey the star of MTV’s Teen Wolf, Sam Witwer star of Being Human, David Giuntoli star of Grimm, Bruce Boxleitner star of Babylon 5, Steven R. McQueen of The Vampire Diaries and many, many more.
