A new Watchmen poster, plus an alternate teaser!

In the online geek world, Watchmen couldn’t have a higher profile right now, and obviously Warner Bros. is doing their darnedest to make sure Zack Snyder’s risky-but-geekgasm-inducing comic book movie finds an audience.

This all begs the question: will interest peak too early? Eh, with a new poster and an alternate trailer out, who cares right now?

As for the new footage, this is basically a re-cut version of the first teaser, with plenty of new footage added. It premiered the other night on Spike TV’s Scream Awards, and now you can check it out in QuickTime below the cut. There are some terrific images — A shot of Ozymandias’s Antarctica fortress, Nite Owl and Silk Spectre kissing against the background of an atomic bomb going off — and it even includes a spoken line at the end, courtesy of the Comedian…
